Arusha National Park

Arusha national park is located in northern Tanzania, 32 square kilometre away from town. Which was described by Sir Julian Huxley as “a gem amongst parks”.
This beautifully place dived into three parts Mt.Meru, Ngurdoto crater and momela lake. Arusha national park is not known for the big game viewing but offers a wide range of animals and plenty of birds, which frequently seen are baboon, buffalo, giraffe, warthog, zebra, hippo, hyena, elephant are rare and lion absent, also antelope species like dik dik and waterbuck. The park is famous for 570 species of birdlife both migrant and residents like white and black collubus monkey the only place in northern circuit where u can see this.

*The Arusha National Park and Arusha town derive their name from the Wa-Arusha people who traditionally lived in this area.

*Until 1967 this was known as Ngurdoto Crater National Park.

The Momella Lakes :
*shallow alkaline lakes fed by underground streams

*has thousands of lesser and greater flamingos as well as migratory birds (between April and October).

*Each of the lakes has a different hue.
