Manyara national park is located in northern Tanzania and it may take 1 hour driving from Arusha town en route to the near by Ngorongoro Crater, the Olduvai Gorge and the Serengeti.
This park is famous for its tree climbing lions,which spend most of the day spread out a long the branches of Acacia trees six to seven metres above the ground.Also offers of large variety of habits. Water forests, baobab strewn cliff, acacia woodlands, algae streaked hotspring, swamps and the lake, and has many concentration of baboons than anywhere else.
Parks also supports a large number of animals which are impala,massai giraffe, reedbuck, waterbuck, jackal, warthogs, hippo, duiker, hyrax, mangoose, hyena, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo while leopard and black rhino are not uncommon.
Also sanctuary to over 400 species of birds including flamingos, sacred ibis, pelican storks, cormorants and Egyptian geese.
