Ruaha National Park – The largest National park in Tanzania followed by the Serengeti National Park. The Flora and fauna of the Ruaha National Park is quite unique compared to any other national park in the country.It is also Tanzania most sizeable elephant and home to a profusion of bird species including kingfishers, plovers, hornbills, egrets and sunbirds.
Crocodiles and hippos in the great Ruaha river which flows a long the sanctuary eastern border and in the dry season between July and November animals flock to the last remaining water sources,presenting an exceptional wildlife spectacle.
And various antelopes species such as impala,eland,grants gazelle, waterbuck, reedbuck and less kudu and the rare sable and roan antelope thrive in the grassland bordering the river a long side giraffe,buffalo and zebras, Predators include lion, leopard, cheetah both stripped and wild dog or African hunting dog as they should correctly be called.
