Selous game reserve standing as the largest game reserve in Africa, Selous is also the second largest conservation area in Africa sized at 54,600 square kilometers and more than 5% of land surface and also founded in 1896. It is definitely noted as even four times bigger than the Serengeti. Selous is considered important enough to be World Heritage Site in 1982, in which the lucky few can experience a safari in absolutely wild and unspoiled bush.
Selous is famous with larger population of elephants also large number of leopard,lion,African hunting dog, hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, and wild dogs.species commonly seen are impala, giraffe, oryx, klipspringer, reedbuck, water buck, red and blue duikers, eland, zebra, hartebeest, hyena, vervet and blue monkey, black and white colobus may sometime be seen moving from tree to tree.
